A Pleasant Afternoon Gathering with Young Wines from OPG Najman and Ledo’s Fragrant Desserts
At the end of January 2016, Vila Toplissa hosted two delightful tastings – young wines from OPG Najman and sweet creations from Ledo.
With enthusiasm and pride, Drago Najman presented his wines, highlighting that they are crafted naturally, without artificial additives (such as vinegar and the like). Starting with Toplička Iskra, the house wine of Vila Toplissa, he went on to showcase his sparkling fruity Graševina, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon, and Portugizac, followed by Pinot Noir and the sweet Yellow Muscat – a truly rich assortment.
To ensure the tasting wasn’t only about wine, a young chef from Ledo prepared a variety of dishes using Ledo’s deep-frozen product line, intended for hospitality venues. Guests had the chance to enjoy beefsteak and rump steak with excellent sides such as baby potatoes, vegetables, or breaded onion rings, pork loin in a five-mushroom sauce, chicken breast with cheese in a creamy sauce, Slavonian salami with pickled peppers, and more. Fish lovers could taste totani stew, grilled trout from the Gacka River, mackerel or pike-perch fillet, as well as catfish in cream sauce.
The experience was rounded off with irresistible desserts – strudel with forest fruits and vanilla cream, or pancakes with vanilla ice cream and toppings of either forest fruits or chocolate.
